The Baker & Hamilton Building, a San Francisco historic landmark,
was rehabilitated to accommodate 200,000 s.f. of modern office and
multi-media workspaces.
Originally constructed in 1905, the 290,000 s.f. warehouse is a masonry and heavy timber
structure. Unique features such as the historic entry, the rooftop sign
and the large interior light well skylight were preserved and repaired.
Improvements include a new Townsend and 7th street entrance,
new elevator and stair core, new mechanical and electrical systems, and
extensive seismic upgrades.
A new 57,000 s.f. concrete frame office building and 300 car
parking structure complete the development and are located adjacent to
the existing building.
