A residential building block composed of various scales, textures and colors.

The design is guided by the fine grain character of an existing commercial façade, adjacent neighborhood shops and nearby larger scale industrial structures to create 130 apartments and retail space. A judicious material palette was applied to various program elements at each façade, which respond to local patterns and textures. The rooftop terrace offers unobstructed views of downtown San Diego and the harbor.
